Autumns bubble
Thanks for taking the time to visit our page.
Autumn is our 3 year old daughter. A brave, chatty little girl living with Hyperimmunoglobulin E Syndrome (HIES), also known as Job’s Syndrome — an extremely rare genetic condition with very few documented cases worldwide.
In October 2025, Autumn will be going to Newcastle Great North Children's Hospital to undergo a Stem Cell Transplant (also known as a Bone Marrow Transplant). This is a procedure to replace Autumn's damaged blood cells system with healthy ones, and involves destroying the unhealthy cells with Chemotherapy and replacing them with stem cells removed from a matching donor. We will be in the care of the hospital for 6 months. 3 of these in an isolation bubble.
This fundraiser is inspired by: Autumn
Autumn, from Yorkshire, has rare genetic condition Hyper-IgE syndrome. Â Hyper-IgE syndrome is primary immunodeficiency characterised by elevated levels of immunoglobulin, recurrent skin and lung infections and eczema. It affects the immune system, skin, lungs and skeletal system. Since 1966 when it was discovered there have only been 230 cases.
