Supergirl star Eve Ridley brings magic to Ward 3

There was a very special visitor on Ward 3 at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary this week, as local actress Eve Ridley stopped by to meet some of the children and families supported by The Bubble Foundation.

Eve, who stars as Ruthye Marye Knoll in the new DC film Supergirl, took time out from her busy schedule to visit the children, chat with families and bring a little bit of movie magic to the wards.

Kayleigh, member of the play team for Ward 3 said Eve was kind and fantastic with all of the patients.

For children spending time in hospital, days can often look very different from those of their friends at home. A visit from someone they have just seen on the big screen can make a huge difference, creating a moment of excitement, distraction and, most importantly, a chance to simply be a child.

Eve also joined in with film-themed arts and crafts, signed Supergirl posters and spent time getting to know the children and their families before the special screening at the MediCinema inside the RVI.
