Over The Wall Camp Children's Charity offering fantastic, free, opportunities for children with health challenges

Do you know about Over the Wall? They have some fantastic, free residential and virtual activity camps for children and young people with health challenges.

Residential Camps

Children with health challenges and their families (including siblings and parents) can all benefit from our different types of residential camp, which are rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.

Health Challenge & Sibling Camps are designed for children and young people ages 8-17 years to attend independently. These are 4-night camps with campers grouped by age.

Family Camps are for the family unit to attend together for 2 nights over a weekend. At least one child in the household must be aged 8-17 years, but this could be the child with the health challenge or a sibling.

To make camp possible, a medical team of nurses, doctors and paramedics are there at all times. This means they can provide routine care and respond to emergencies. Camp is a safe and supportive environment for campers to step outside their comfort zone. Camps are in several locations across the UK, all with bedrooms and bathrooms, so campers have a comfortable place to rest and won’t have to pitch a tent!

Whether they make new friends, take on the climbing wall, or find a new talent, children should leave camp feeling proud. Over The Wall Camp is where many children and young people with health challenges grow their confidence, form lifelong bonds, and feel more independent than ever before.

Camp in the Cloud

Camp in the Cloud is an engaging camp-at-home activity programme that allows a family to spend quality time together with no cost or planning involved for them. They receive their own Seriously Fun Box in the post which contains everything needed to take part. This box is packed full of games and activities, as well as other goodies and surprises!

Camp in the Cloud is run on specific dates by the Over The Wall Camp team and volunteers who are ready to bring the Over The Wall Camp magic to families! The family will be sent a Zoom link on the morning of camp, here they can take part in the live activities, chat to the staff team and volunteers as well as to the other families taking part.
