Lexis Letter

Lexi’s Letter was written by Lexi in December 2024 during a long stay on Ward 3.

Lexi worked with Touch Design as creative director for the animation of her letter until her death (aged 14) in September 2025. The letter is read by her sister Ella.

Colleagues at the Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust are intending to use it to develop training resources for clinicians and are also hoping to create a children's book using the words.

We are sharing it here as it may help our young patients, and their families, to talk more easily to the medical professionals they see every day.
