Ross

patient

Ross was born with an ileal atresia requiring a bowel resection operation at only a few days old, his recovery from this was incredibly slow and wasn’t able to leave hospital.

9 months spent in Aberdeen undergoing endless tests and scopes revealed he had autoimmune enteropathy and was transferred to the GNCH in Newcastle where the decision was made to list him for stem cell transplant. He spent a year as an inpatient in Newcastle, and eventually we travelled home in 2017 after nearly 2 years of hospital care.
