Neil Stotesbury

Neil started to train as nurse at age 26 after various jobs in admin, finance and banking and realising they were not for him! After qualifying in 1992 and gaining experience in two different hospitals he returned to Newcastle and joined the paediatric Bone Marrow Transplant unit, or SCIDs unit, as it used to be called.

Neil has just taken early retirement (June 2025) after working just under 30 years on the Transplant Unit and moving up through the grades. He has been Treasurer for the Bubble Foundation for 12 years.
