The developing field of bone marrow transplantation is both highly specialised and complex. Ensuring the best possible care of our patients and the development of the service is a constant challenge to the Unit. To help facilitate this, it is paramount that we share our knowledge and experiences with colleagues providing similar services in an international context. We therefore aim to provide worthwhile opportunities for our staff to participate in UK and international conferences, where they submit abstracts describing our work and related results, learn of others’ experiences, which can both result in the adoption of new, or enhancement of existing, procedures.
